Squared 5 has software that will open and edit almost any video that you can throw at it. I use it specifically to rip DVDs which I author. It cannot be used to rip protected DVDs in which you purchase. But if you are like me and author DVDs for a living this is a great tool to have in your arsenal. Most of my work are archived on DVDs and now if I need to add some more video to my demo reel I can open this bad boy up and not only rip the DVD but I can edit what I need by choosing an in point and an out point and exporting it with a list of formats that would make an editor happy. Not only can you rip from your DVDs but you can edit any video format out there check this list out.
