Time is running out. I had no idea Apple was being so anal about this switch.

But according to Digital Production Buzz:

Time is running out for people to upgrade, or cross-grade their current version of Final Cut Pro or Final Cut Studio. Apple’s generous upgrade/crossgrade offer requires that your package to Apple, with your current discs, be postmarked by December 20th, 2006. I hope the future version that Apple intends to update will support AVCHD format that is currently being recorded in some of the HD consumer camcorders with hard drives. Remember you have until December 20th before Apple yanks this deal away from their users. Click here if you need to make a cross grade or upgrade to 5.1.
