Short Film Friday: 405

December 29th, 2006 · 3 Comments

The acclaimed digital short about a jumbo jet crash-landing on a real busy L.A. freeway.

Probably the most amazing factoids about 405 is that it wasn’t created by an army of special-effects artists, it didn’t take years to complete, and it did not cost a million dollars, that’s a lot really. You can do better now.

Wowza! My husband had viewed this previously but I had yet to see it. Andy – in the next month or so, would you be open to a brief podcast interview for Living with Geeks — as a Final Cut authority? I’m learning it currently and thought having a pro share insight could help some other folks too. My initial thoughts were you offering a Top 5 or Top 10 most helpful tips when starting out list. Or how to avoid utter hopelessness and despair…ha. Would you feel comfortable with that tact? Ideas are welcome. Hope all is well (and hope I haven’t dogged your place w/ excessive comments. My goal this year is to be more interactive with certain online communities to learn more). Best wishes … Jill F.

I so 405 the movie a few years back and loved it, but you’ve really got to have driven on the 405 to have a real appreciation for it.
