A 3-D, animated action flick about a coffee bean who doesn’t take crap from anyone, The Killer Bean 2 is an amazing, amusing shoot-’em-up. A big house party spins out of control and wakes the wrong guy: He’s one mean bean who has been pushed to the boiling point. This homage to John Woo’s The Killers–with nonstop gunplay, choreographed fight scenes and Matrix-like special effects–took filmmaker Jeffrey Lew three years to create in his spare time on his home computer. We’re guessing he drank a lot of coffee.
