Congratulations to Kelley and Michael Garrity, my brother-in-law and his lovely wife for birthing me a niece. How thoughtful. Lillian Jo Garrity was born on April 18th, at 3:11pm. She weighs 6 1/2 lbs and is 20″ long.

This is my first niece/nephew and I think back to how my Uncles acted around me. Is that how I should act around my new family. My Uncles are great men with a keen sense of humor that still cracks me up to this day. Uncle Bob, you can stop sending me birthday cards with checks in them now since I’ll be doing the same. Or better yet I’ll forward you Lillian’s address so I don’t have to re-gift your check. Uncle Tom, you can teach me what it is like to be an Uncle to a little lady, on that note I’ll throw away my dirty mind. Uncle Lenard, you tried to teach me the way of the book and the church and I tested your faith. You passed the test, I never took it. Uncle Dick, you fathered some great kids and divorced my Aunt. I didn’t get a chance to learn that much from you. But I think I got a good hint.

On the other side of the family more great news, my cousin Rick and his wife Christine had their first child on Easter Sunday. Her name is Nicole Lena Keyes. Nicole weighed 6.9 pounds and was 19? long.

Our family continues to grow. Who’s next? Stay tuned as the remainder of the family continues to have sex, lets see which one slips one past the goalie. This is a good month for our family.
