That is the number to call and vent if you purchased a Sony HRD-SR1 camcorder and you are having trouble editing your footage. What’s that you have a solution? Oh you have to have a PC networked to you MAC in order to edit the footage from the camcorder. Thanks for helping us out, but as far as Sony is concerned that is an unacceptable solution. Call this phone number and rant about how frustrated you are about this. 336.790.6294

The emails that I get from my readers pisses me off, they spend over $1000 for the camcorder and can’t use the one function that would make their editing life a bit easier. Not to mention that the feature is probably the main reason why they bought the camcorder. Call and vent. This isn’t the first time Sony has screwed their customers. Here is a list of mistakes by, “the leader of electronics.” Thanks Consumerist.

Well…I sure do want to vent!! I mean, I purchased the camera months ago thinking, “Hey…they’ll have editing software solutions for the Mac soon…they have to.” I then proceeded to go on my Honeymoon in New Zealand, thinking about the beautiful scenery and memories from our wedding and our trip, and to the fact that I was convinced that when I got back from NZ, AVCHD support would be announced in the new Final Cut.

    Well…took some great footage…
    Got back on April 16th….
    Saw Apple’s big announcement….
    Saw nothing about AVCHD…
    Heart sank…

But…what am I do to? Sure, I can call and rant, but…they already have my money. They already have the money for my 60” SXRD TV. They already have my money for my DVD player, etc…I have little faith in them to address my needs as a consumer since I’ve dropped almost $5K with them in the past 5 months…

    Ahoi!

Just to let you know that Elecard released an brand new AVCHD Converter. I tried it with Bootcamp and the Demo works. The Converter can open and convert the Sony .mts and .m2ts files. At the moment I have a problem with the HDV output because of missing audio.

But hey, there is a light in the dark ;)

    Kind regadrs from germany,

When I am coping on to the dvd it does an authority check after about 50% in and comes up with an error this is not all the time but more often than not. Help I’m wasting so many discs I’m not sure what the exact error is as my computer is in Japanese.
