I’ll be down there trying out for a couple of roles. Anyone else interested? From my friend and colleague Blake Faucette

Hey Guys and Gals,
Here’s some info about the film Micah and myself will be shooting in September. It will be shot in HD and will have a very cool look and style to the film. Definitely check out the myspace if you get a chance.

This will be a great project and we look forward to working with a lot of you talented people. So come to the casting call or hit us up and let us know if you want to help out. We should be shooting some more test scenes very soon to put together our promo pack for investors. So more stuff coming soon.

We’ll be at the shop Friday and Saturday if anyone wants to stop by. Saturday
at 8:00 pm we will be screening some of our films and also our friends projects as well if anyone wants to come hang out.

Talk to you soon,
Blake

Subject: DOGS of CHINATOWN casting calls - JULY 15 and July 29

Hey everyone, thanks again so much for your interest in DOGS OF CHINATOWN!

UPDATE: First CASTING CALL DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED. CASTING CALL DATES ARE NOW *JULY 15 and JULY 29,* both on Sundays, between 12noon to 8pm at our studio space.

Contact me to schedule an audition. Let me know what time of day during those casting calls is best for you so I can schedule it or the nearest available slot for you. If you really want to audition and are passionate about the film but cannot make those dates a possibility, contact me and we’ll work out another time. If you can bring a hard copy of your headshot that is great. We plan to video-tape parts of the auditions for our review.

The address for the building that houses our studio is 900 Spring Garden St, but our studio entrance is on Mendenhall St. (The building is at the intersection of Mendenhall St and Spring Garden St in Greensboro NC 27403). We are behind College Hill Sundries Bar and our driveways run down past a small white chapel building into our gravel parking lot. For Greensboro natives, we’re in the sublevel of the same building as Boutique Hypnotica and ReCycle bike shop.

We’re working on a stand-alone webpage for the film but ran into some server issues, but for now, if you want to see some tests we’ve done while location scouting you can see some stills, a clip, and some new concept art on the film’s myspace page. You should be able to view some of it even if you aren’t a myspace member.

If you can check out the blog there, you can read a description of how our crew generally operates (totally awesome, mainly), to get a better idea of whether this project is right for you. If you can’t access that, I’m happy to email anyone a transcript of that blog.

A few days before the auditions or even before that I’ll make available a few scenes of script that will be used during the auditions so people can get a peek and know the gist of what they’ll be asked to enact.

Once again, the production is real low budget (at the moment out of my pocket) but will look really slick and stylish and be entered in the major international festivals. So we’ll have a few paying roles and lots of unpaid ones (though we’ll have a budget for some travel and keep everyone fed of course). We’re really good about efficient scheduling and won’t waste anyone’s time. Many of the roles will only require about a day or less of being on set, but are bold and memorable characters. While many characters show up in the film just to be offed, there’s very little faceless canon fodder, there is a story to every target.

THESE ARE THE MAIN ROLLS WE ARE CASTING, though a few other parts will need filling too as things progress.

(”cast” next to a name/description signifies the role is already filled)

Extras need not audition, just make sure I have you contact info and general description or picture, and we’ll confirm dates with the extras at a later date but with decent notice.
