Dogs Of Chinatown
Saturday I went to Solaris with Micah and we shot some test footage for his upcoming feature, “Dogs of Chinatown.” Take a peak.

In case you’re wondering what “Dog’s of Chinatown” is here is a brief breakdown…
Dogs of Chinatown is a feature film being produced and shot in North Carolina. The slick crime drama is being spearheaded by director Micah Moore and line producer Blake Faucette. What we lack in funds, we make up for in talent and style by the mile. When all is said and done our shoestring-budget film should look like a million bucks.
This film is a vehicle for everyone involved to shine at major film festivals. We are hugely fortunate that many artists and talent share our faith in this project and have stepped forward, donating their time and skill to bring this film to the next level. My thanks goes out to all of you and we’re happy to have you on board.
Two casting calls are coming up in July, and we will begin shooting the heft of the film mid-September. A few scenes will likely be filmed prior to that. If anyone between Charlotte and Raleigh, but especially in Greensboro, owns or represents any clubs or venues, we are looking for a few more locations to shoot scenes - bars, danceclubs, restaurants, and a strip club. We’d love to hear from you.
Here is the synopsis…
Jack is an utterly depressed man who has finally chosen to bite down on a gun. But the act is interupted by a violent kidnapping outside his apartment. Jack, with nothing to lose, intervenes, saving the mistress of a Chinese Triad boss from Italian mafia thugs. Jack ends up finding a home with the Triad, and he is groomed into a hitman. Jack begins to make a family and friends in the Triad community, but an escalating war with the Italian Mafia and treachery from within his own ranks threatens to dash all of Jack’s newfound happiness asunder.
I really enjoyed helping Micah out. I repeat, Micah anything you need my assistance on let me know. I got the acting bug again.
After the shoot Micah and I looped the audio so it would sound stunning. Close enough. Later this week I’ll post a tutorial on looping audio in Final Cut Pro.
