Today I’m meeting a company for a multimedia producer position in Durham. The job description reads like a marketing department. Many skills are required with managerial experience. Luckily I have experience in being diverse at the workplace. I’m sure once the questioning begins I will better understand if I fit the job or not. I am not one to suck up and agree to work in an environment in which I feel I can’t be successful. The job description is a bit intimidating but once I understand what the expectations are I’m sure the description will seem more like cliff notes that will help me understand where I fit.

Interesting side note, I’m represented by a contracting company and this is a unique experience for me. I meet up with the representative from the firm at the interview site where he sits in the interview with me. I feel like an athlete with his agent by his side representing him for his best interests. I understand when I’m employed my representation makes their money too. I have no problem with that. Both of us can make good money. Good thing about commuting to Durham from Greensboro is I can get caught up with my massive collection of podcasts. Another positive point is I have family and friends that live nearby if I ever get exhausted and want to stay the night. Wish me luck, I hope to impress.
