Steve and his friend Lurleen drove up from Charlotte two weekends ago to help us shoot a teaser for the up and coming feature, “War of The Dead.” Side note… we have to change the name of the film due to someone else using that cool name for another project. We met Steve during a shoot in Charlotte in early March and instantly became friends. Steve reminds me of everything cool that I missed during the 70’s and 80’s. He also reminds me of my Uncle Bob. Uncle Bob’s humor is so blunt, honest and raw that Carlos Mencia would steal it.

What a great production this is going to be. The script is full of great scenes and is well written for a zombie flick and will be a huge test for all of us involved. I’m doing the sound for the film, Micah is shooting the film, Blake is producing it and Jesse is directing it. I can’t wait to see how we all work together on this. This film will test us as filmmakers. We are shooting it with a small budget but the finished product will match a Hollywood Feature… less the studio endings.
