Feedburner Ignited My Email Subscription Service

December 1st, 2008 · No Comments

I subscribe to my blog through my email just like 170 other people. I do that to see what my subscribers are seeing. But for the past week Feedburner is not sending out my posts and there is no way to contact them to resolve this issue. I log on to feedburner and it takes around 5 minutes just to load the page for I check all of the settings and the email service is correctly configured… but will not send.

Here is the same problem I found on feedburners forums. They won’t allow you to post there anymore and it will be gone in the future. Here is what it reads.

I apologize to my readers and am upset that I can’t contact anyone at feedburner about this issue. They do have a help section but nothing about this matter. I wouldn’t have a problem with it if the account wasn’t pro, but it is. So hopefully this gets through to the giant called Google and their once cool service called feedburner.

After Further Review
Checked out the google group for feedburner and it looks like the issue is across the board. Anyone have any ideas on how to communicate with all the subscribers or what service I can switch to without a problem?

Update: 1/20/2009

John Ford and his developer wisdom helped me figure out that my plugin was old and I needed to update the plugin. Normally, in the administration panel of WordPress, it will tell you that you need to update the plugin. But the plugin for Feedburner was ditched by the original programmer and didn’t have the any updates to it. There was nothing on Feedburner’s website that informed me about the change. John send me a link with the new plugin. So if you are having the same problem as I did below… Here is the link to download the newest plugin for Feedburner.
