I was on a shoot earlier today. My client wanted to get one of his clients to do a video testimonial for his business. The shoot was scheduled for 2 1/2 hours. My rate for coming out to shoot is a minimum of $200 for up to four hours. He did a really smart thing and I applaud him for it. He used some of the excess time that he had and gave my services to his client. They got me to shoot a video for their website. A personal video from the president of the company.

The shoot took a total of an hour and a half. I think it was a smart move on his behalf. First, asking ahead of time to see if his client had a need for a quick video. So they could prepare for the shoot and then executing it. Everyone was happy. I have no problem doing that for my client, after all he is paying for my time.

I see more businesses embracing the web and shooting video for their website.
